Still can't sleep WTF.So ever notice how McCoy hovers, leans on chairs, leans on consoles... and is just hovering around the bridge all the time doing nothing?

Clearly, he does such a good job keeping the crew alive and healthy he isn't needed in Sickbay very often.
Besides, can you imagine the bridge without Bones? It just wouldn't be the same.

Pffff. He's just lucky that they're not getting sick/hurt.
It wouldn't but McCoy actually holds a very large responsibility. He is not only the ship's surgeon and primary physician-- he is also the coroner, primary counselor, lead doctor (which means he supervises all the nurses), and he also maintains the ship's medical records. He should be up to his ears in logs.

Yes I noticed that McCoy tends to just sit there on the bridge and do nothing, but I don't complain because his presence is awesome and I can't get enough of him so it's great XD Plus he cannot be busy all the time, those 433 people cannot be sick all the time!
Anyway I love your drawing and he's so cute! I especially like the first panel with Kirk (awwww Kirk's going to break his heart!)

Oh, while I am very glad to see him, and am a very dedicated DeForest Kelley fan, I still can't help but wonder why the character, McCoy did those things. Then again, I do know why-- he's kind of nosy. He also probably does have to keep an eye on the condition of the bridge crew regularly to make sure no one's too tired to be working up there.
With 433 personal patients of your own, someone's going to be having injuries, inquiries, off days and necessary check ups. However, he does have nurses and other doctors to take care of some of that. The largest responsibilities that lie on him include things like autopsies (he's the ship's coroner too) and caring for the highest officers.

yes indeed as you say he's not alone to take care of all these patients. Maybe when we see him uncalled on the bridge, he's just having some relax time, maybe he's off duty.
Have you noticed these people in TOS ALWAYS wear their uniform? Like, even to sleep or nap? so you can't actually tell if someone's on duty or not.
And maybe also he's around the bridge to try and see if he can be bugging Spock too XD And he is nosy indeed. That's so cute of him!!

That's certainly possible. It just seems he's up there a lot, and often in the way. Jim puts up with so much. If I was in a STRESSFUL situation, and my doctor was LEANING on my chair, I'd feel the urge to turn around and yell at him, lol.
I've seen McCoy take off at least the outer part of his uniform to nap. In the first episode; [link] FFFFFFFFFF--!!
But yeah, regulations state that you need to always be in your uniform when you're out and about. I just love how he's constantly changing his shirt. Dude. Make up your mind. Haha.
I honestly think he's bored, nosy, and very into annoying Spock.

True, he does changes into something more confy (sexehh!! ~) but not so often. And yeah he has like different uniforms. I always wonder why his shirt is more pale than Spock's, too. A logical conclusion is that he washes it more often. He'd better. Because wearing the same uniform 24/7.... it must end up being stinky otherwise XD

Yeah for obvious reasons the differences in the colors of the shirts is due to the low budget. But I like to think of extra explainations XD
I also don't imagine McCoy with a bad personnal smell, I was speaking in general, you know, since wearing the uniform all the time is the rule, and with 430 (+/-) poeple aboard (that we never see showering , I must insist!) some must be smelly!!
