Hi, I am sorry to bother you with this, but I am looking for someone who can help me with an error message. Yes, I have read that crashes happen, etc. etc., but this one seems to be more than just a crash. I re-downloaded Apo 7X from Sourceforge a few days ago (I seemed to have lost my old version). It comes with the 32 bit and the 64 bit (I am running Windows 7). The 64 bit didn't work properly, so I played on the 32 bit. Everything was working great. I rendered stuff (not that you would want to see those , but it was working perfectly. I worked through a few Beginner tutorials - perfect. Then I wanted to try your tutorial and the whole thing froze and sent me this error: Access violation at address 0059638A in module "Apophyis 7X.exe" Read of Address 000001C8". The whole thing freezes. You can't close the program, change anything, let alone save anything, you click on the "OK" for the error message and it just re-opens in another place . I have to restart the computer every time to get rid of it. I tried a few times. Then I though I would take the 64 bit Apo off the computer altogether (Oh, the error comes up as a 64 bit message!). I tried again - same thing. Then I took out a whole lot of plug ins, to see if that was the problem - same. Then I took off the 2 plug-ins from your tutorial - no change. Then I deleted the whole Apo folder and downloaded it again fresh - same problem .... Have you got any idea what that error means or what I can do? You probably gathered that I am computer handicapped, but I try to get by and do stuff. This just really annoys me now. Thanks if you can help, would really appreciate that.

Replying to my own question ... don't worry, I decided to rather download Apo 7X15B which ChaosFissure recommended. I did the tutorial in the meantime -Thank you - so clear and easy to follow! Β Β  I will post the link ... its busy with the render

I am using Apophysis 7x 15c.9, and I've found something odd about this tutorial, when I use the built-in version of the Epispirals plugin, and enter the parameters manually, all I get is a blurred circle in the middle of the screen similar to other comments. Β However, when I install the Epispirals version included in the zip file (which doesn't seem to conflict with the built in version), and copy and paste the parameters posted below, the flame works perfectly.

Anyone got any thoughts on this?

I see that there is another that is having the same problem. I've followed the Tutorial to the letter and I'm getting a large circle. I'm new to Aop7x but I'm a fast learner (kind of) and I have made a couple of basic Fractals of my own. So I have basic knowledge, but I still can't figure out why. LOL

Thank you for your help, but I think it might be my computer or something. I copy and paste the parameters, I do get a duplicate picture like in the Tutorial but when I follow the rest of steps and render it , it is so faint you can barely see it. I’m new to ApoX7 so I’ll have to mess around with it.

7xc9 only the 32 bit one can add plugins not the 64 bit one.
Use 7x or 7xb or 7xc9 32 bit and you can pase plugins in the plugin folder
