Velocitus is fueled not by calories but by absorbing all forms of nearby energy and translating it into a cosmic speed, motion and reflexes not facilitated by running but by instantaneous thought. No need to pump legs, just controllable linear motion and speeds so high it emulates teleportation. Imbued with inertial diffusion powers, the effect leaves a temporary white speed trail. Velocitus is invulnerable to injury when in motion, with a high degree of durability when motionless. For punches thrown at cosmic speed, invulnerability kicks in so he does not harm himself, not good news for opponents. Expanded details later.

Had the Velocitus name in my wordsmithing databanks for a long time, and cannot find usage of it by Marvel, DC or Image or any other comic company that would show up in searches. Velocity? Sure. Everywhere. But not the Latinized version of the name, Velocitus. There was one exception I located, an absolute Flash clone listed in a Champions online database, but when I do a search on the character on the Champions Online site itself, he doesn't even come up. Not even in the forums. My guy is so far from that Flash doppelganger, I felt comfortable moving ahead with him.
