I'm trying to find out how to do that the most easy possible but I still don't found out!

well, I actually plan on making a tutorial on it once I get everything moved and set up into my new digs since I've had other people ask me, but here it is quick and dirty (I use Photoshop 6, but everything should be the same with any version)
1:Scan in linework
2: Adjust the levels while in greyscale
3: Seperate the black lines from everything else (it's kind of hard to explain when i don't have my Photoshop with me, I'll have a better write up in the actual tutorial)
4: Convert to colour (RGB or CMYK whatever you like)
5: On a new level under the lines, lay your flat colour. For Avatar art, I actually pull colours from screen shots.
6:New level above the base colours I chose colours a little darker then the base for shades. In some cases I set the layer to Multiply and use various shades of grey, depends on the look I want
8: Use the Smudge tool to blend the shades
9: Use the Dodge tool to make highlights (various settings depending on colours)
10: Select the entire layer with the black lines, delete them all and then fill in with black or colour of your choice to darken your lines
11: Add whatever special effects you want!
That's the rough idea, but keep an eye out for the actual tutorial since I'll have screen shots that'll probably explain it better
