The 17th century writing is both literature and art together. I read the play by Racine; it's a sad one.
But Racine has a operatic manner of expression where things said take forms of the human metaphysicism in a way of his own.

It's a play of Theater, about the effect of Love. Phèdre falls in love & tries to explain her feeling.

It seems like you have an intimate relationship with the letters, you know? I imagine the letters starting to born as your hand dances around the paper...
It's gorgeous

what nib point did you use to do that with? that's beautiful work. i especially like how you exadurated the descenders. i nevetr thought of doing that type before. I can see the influence of the "batarde" style of the 14th and 15th centuries here.

I used a Segent Major, a school nib really common. It's a flemish script, of the 16th & 17th.

Honestly, with this type of writing, It's really difficult to read it, I can only read mine, but for the other, it's complicated.
Mais la beauté réside justement dans le fait qu'elle soit mystique & élancée, comme une trainée de poussière de comète.

It's a difficult to read it, & it's french. This is an ceremonial writing, as beautiful as illisible.
