Homework procrastination led to this, so hopefully you guys find this helpful somehow. And even better, hopefully it's understandable XD. Enjoy!
Just in case anyone was wondering, I use Photoshop Elements 12. So some of the steps for the settings may be a little different depending on what program you use.

That's a really good idea. I will try it, that's for sure ^__^
Just two things I (personally) would change: First, I wouldnt paint the trees black because you can see that in the end. I think it might be better to simply juse the eraser for that part. Second, you can see the stones of the picture with the stars in the finished picture. They are transparent, but if you look close, they are there. So i would erase them too or just use a picture without stones. Although I like stones
Both things can't be seen that much in your picture "Endlessly", so it seems like they doesn't matter in the end. But they might be worth working on.
