Anyone else notice Sonic's glove disintegrateΒ a tiny bit while he wasΒ holding the AnarchyΒ Baryl necklace? Or am I just a lil nuts? XDΒ

The necklace definitely did minor damage to his hand, but in the following panel it looks like the damage healed almost instantly once he drops the cursed thing.
Also, i am not convinced Scourge has been completely destroyed at this stage; i'll put good odds on that necklace working something like a Lich's Phylactery, eventually rebuilding Scourge's form, but not for a while id expect.

Call it an educated guess; also, if EvanStanley plans to keep this story going for some time yet, it would make no narrative sense to simply kill off Scourge at this stage.
More so than he ever was in life, Spirit Scourge makes an excellent destructive force, you cant really reason with him (even his cooperation with Nicole is clearly no more than an alliance of convenience); it may not be possible to permanently destroy him, and containing him (like Nicole did to Sonic) would probably just result in whatever force hes tied into, recreating him from scratch, just as appears to have happened with Sonic.
