Not quite-- the Scourge's boss is something else. It's pretty easy to guess based on the art later on, but I'm not gonna spoil it.
Also Nicole had some Anarchy Beryl because she works for the same being as Scourge, who guided her through obtaining some for her own ends. I know that's kind of bullshit, this arc was heavily rewritten in the second half and not all the plot threads tie up super well, sorry!

Another comment just made me think of this, it mentioned something like Scourge doesn't like seeing Venice get hurt. Although i kinda doubt that and that pause was more likely him just preparing to yell "Hey Boss" it makes me wonder, Scourge is a ghost, Venice is.... a ghost who can return to her body(And I know this is SOOOOOOO far fetch but...) what if Like Sicily and Metal Sonic/Shard and their (possibly future romantic) friendship happens to Venice and Scourge? Like that would make both of Silvers sisters like two of Sonics worst enemies in history! Like I said, super far fetch but I've always had a soft spot for Scourge for some reason, and I've always wanted to see him be a little good atleast. I was also super pissed when i found out he and Fiona could never come back to the comics due to a law suit and the writer taking all of his characters(Which included Fiona and all of the Moebius counter part characters) with him when he left)
Man wouldn't it be awesome if Venuce's acting comes into play and she totally tricks whoever his boss is and makes them think she's turning bad(Like because her friends 'abandoned her' or 'let her die to metal Sonic"? And then her acting is so good and convincing she attracts Scourge and even when she reveals her true intentions he's already love struck? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, it's so far fetch and I'm just tired and crazy enough to believe it might happen right now hahaha.
Also after some brief examination i know it has to Mephiles. The purple crystals and the stage drapes by the throne. Man Did Mephelis like his theatrics and DRAMATIC HAND WAVING. Actually he did lots of hand movement specifically because he had no mouth an the creators felt he needed more movement to go with his speaking. In the end it added a character trait that he is somewhat dramatic when he speaks and where does drama go ON STAGE, hence the stage drapes. I rest my case.... and if wrong I'll eat my shoe.
