Evan Stanley: To be fair the rightful rulers of Moebius are also douchebags. Or do you mean how he killed his dad?
Okida: Well he had to rise above the rabble by placing his father on the rack, thus elevating his rank. What a rascal he was. But perhaps he might see his actions were rash and that he reached too far. He failed to recognize the reality of the situation and be reasonable and now rebellion must have some reconciliation. Then perhaps he might have redemption.

(I've been totally torn if later Scourge can/should say "Scooby Gang" to refer to the heroes, which is in itself a reference to not only Scooby-doo but also Buffy the Vampire Slayer... so many questions raised)

I love getting to see Scourge's hedge face instead of his skeleface. His skeleface is pretty creepy

Actually, in the case of the Archie comic version of sonic that this comic is based mostly on, the purple crystals is actually more likely to be anarchy beryl. Anarchy beryl is the opposite of chaos emeralds, as they are from mobius's mirror dimension,moebius. Like chaos emeralds, anarchy beryl can empower whoever uses it to incredible degrees, even having its own version of a super form. The difference is that anarchy beryl is more like a natural resource than a sacred treasure, as anarchy beryl is plentiful and only requires a certain amount to transform. Anarchy beryl transformations lasts a bit longer and is a bit stronger, but unlike choas eneralds, will leave the user completely drained of energy from using them. The reason I believe it may be anarchy beryl is because (in what I assume is moebius) lots of large crystals are rapidly growing out of the ground. It is also noticably sprouting from the throne (which used to belong to scourge), and it was said by scourge that he keeps a whole stache of anarchy beryl hidden under his throne. However, the idea of mephilis joining the comic is pretty awesome, and a connection between him and the anarchy beryl can definitely be made. I look forward to seeing what Evan will be doing in the time to come.

Aww poor Scourge, he looks like he's relieved he's not dead in the last panel. Poor guy, he's just trying to survive. He probably is being forced(Considered these R's hurt him so much. I personally hope he escapes this situation and finds a way to spend his afterlife somehow. Come on Venice talk to him.

I love how the last panel seems to be from Vennie's point of view looking at Scourge. Like I've said before, Scourge is terrible, but you can't help but feel bad for him the way he's looking up with that helpless look on his face.
