I'll hold my breath. I don't have any real support for the ship and at all at this point and even though you are addressing me and taking the time to reply, and I appreciate that.Β
All I can see and understand from context is that it's eluding to a relationship he had, one I can only conclude, was abusive. I don't support anything that implies such.
I'll state again, I commend your writing ability and genuinely enjoy it. But I must admit I have my bais against my character and it's not without it's reasons.
For now, i'll wait for what you have in store.Β

It is called character development. You can take a concept and then grow it beyond its original parameters. This scourge is not the same as the original.Β He had grown a lot and changed sinceΒ the Archie daysΒ - who DID have his softer side in places. Thinks were looking up for him- and then he made one last terrible mistake

TO be fair, this is the guy who, upon gaining a Super mode, decided pretty quickly to destroy Mobius and Moebius. Because he could. He was perfectly willing to commit double-planetcide just because he had the power to do so.Β

The character here is a continuation of the one from Archie and while I appreciate the interpretation on Evan's part, I don't support anyone that pairs characters together when the relationship is abusive, dysfunctional, unhealthy, and that WAS canon in old world Archie cannon, and I can tell you, I will NEVER support it in any form. I know what it is like to have an abusive relationship and I can promise you, I wouldn't wish that on anyone.Β
I don't care how much " character development " Scourge has, he's a monster. Through and through. I won't support anyone being hung around his arm.

If so then why did Scourge want to be left alone in Zone jail?
If so why did Scourge (as anti sonic) help prime sonic find out what Zone he was in just to have a little race?!
If so why did scourge run from Jules house in tears quoting old scars of a terrible father?
Fiona wanted revenge because she felt the world hated her
Scourge wanted revenge because the world hated him
Fiona dated Sonic trying to find a common foundation before going to Scourge, she already new he was bad news.
But she saw darkness in sonic and lack of wisdom when he "took her from Tails" so he wouldn't be hurt too bad.
Scourge is a villien but like Sonic has some dark spots Scourge has some good ones.
... and living alone for this long under a master,
now that is a time when Scourge can REALLY learn from his mistakes.
Think what U want, but I'm convinced.

1.)Scourge wanted to be left alone because he was a coward that couldn't fight back and didn't want to be humiliated any further. He stated that they'd get him into trouble
2.) He wanted to gauge himself against Sonic so he could prove he was the faster AND superior version of him.
3.) Scourge ran from Jules because he was a coward. He killed his father easily because the man never experienced war. He was a politician and Scourge probably killed him with his back turned. How would Anti-jules suspect that his child would murder him? He cried because he couldn't handle jules the way he handled his own father, and thus it showed to him just how much Jules loved and cared for his son, Sonic, something Scourge thought he never recieved from his own father, and it made him angry to know Sonic always had his father's love and support, something he thought he never had.
4.) Fiona never completely hated the world. She hated being used.
5.) Scourge hated not being the center of his father's attention and murdered him. This shows he grew up with a sociopathic personality and used his own excuses for his anger and loneliness to take out his pain on the world like a spoiled child, only he was able to kill people of his own volition.
6.) Fiona gave Sonic a shot but already had placed blame in her heart on him for leaving her when he rescued mighty, and she never let it go. Still doesn't explain logically why she'd date the evil version of someone she had bitter feelings toward if they obviously more evil than the original and are more likely to user her and leave her alone.
7.) Scourge tried to destroy 2 entire planets. That goes to show he doesn't have a scrap of good in his heart. Sonic has flaws in his personality, but that doesn't prove that he has the potential to be evil. They are just aspects of his individuality.
8.) It doesn't matter to me if Scourge learned anything or not, he ripped the soul out of a child and threatened violence on the girl when she called out his behavior which was an act. If you ask me, he has learned either very little or nothing at all.Β
Don't try to make this character sympathetic to me. I don't care for him and probably never will.Β

That doesn't prove a thing. Scourge's nature is to care about number 1, and do this himself. He likes inflicting pain on others to make himself bigger so if that included even sharing the spotlight for a moment with Prime mobius's version of himself just to show them their hero is corruptible, to crush their hopes, once he's done doing so, there is no doubt among anyone that he would immediately stab Sonic in the back.

I am only going to stop here and say I don't agree with what Evan Stanley is trying to present, and you enjoy it. You're entitled to enjoy it and entitled to disagree with my stance. But I stand where I stand. That's all.

People can change. In fact, that's the entire central theme of GOTF. No spoilers but you'll see Scourge does in fact grow and improve from his archie self.

To me it makes the MOST sense with both there backgrounds and the fact that when working together building each other up, they were a deadly foe to Sonic and Tailz.

This reminds me of the fact that the only difference between Sonic and Scourge is their father. One was supportive and loving, and the other was a fame seeker and dismissive of his son.
I have to wonder... what would happen if Scourge found a way back? Now, with the experience and knowledge he has... what if he found himself back where it all began, on that day he stepped into Mobius Prime? Would he still do it all the same, or would he be the blue eyed copy of Sonic, right down to heroism and beliefs? Or, perhaps, he would take a middle ground? He could be the renegade. He could be the hero that makes the hard choices. He could be the persuasion to Sonic's diplomacy.
I guess the only way I'll know is to implore the fan fiction writers out there to do it.
