Ghosts of the Future, issue 15 page 16.My version of Club Rouge is based off of a real place called the Madonna Inn, which is 100% fabulous and amazing and you should really do yourself a favor and look up pictures. I toned it down considerably, and you can't tell that everything is HOT PINK. But it is. It definitely is.
Okida : And here I get back to making witty observations. Behold the page of tone whiplash. Look at Rouge's frozen face, then immediately look at Vector's face at the bottom. Then feel your emotions bounce like a yoyo.

You had to make EVERYTHING as dark, depressing, hopeless and POINTLESS at possible, huh?
This is ridiculous. Β How are we supposed to care what happens in this comic when literally NOTHING ever goes right and everything ALWAYS gets worse?

I'm aware rather dismal spiral the story has been on, and I'm making strides to project a more positive tone in future arcs. But overall Ghosts of the Future is a pretty dark story, and that's definitely not for everybody.Β

Its just...I could have sworn you said in a comment a long time ago that in GOTF, Rouge survived Eggman's final plot and lived a good life and died of old age. Β So to see that that's been retconned into yet another horrific murder is just...yeah.

That's true-- at a point in the planning of the plot, that was what happened to her. But since then the plan has changed considerably. But there are good reasons for the changes, and I would never kill a character unless it was the only thing that would work for the story.
I really am sorry... Β GOTF wasn't started with a concrete plan, and we've had to work around a lot of tricky stuff to get the story going in a coherent direction. I wish I could go back and fix things, but it's better to just keep moving forward to whatever's next. It's not the best way to tell a story, but it's the best I can do right now.

Its fine. Β I'm just...starting to get overwhelmed by the darkness. Β And its not your fault; so many shows, game and other media are going down dark depressing routes these days, and I'm getting sick of it.
But I trust you, Evan. Β I've been following you since around the beginning of GOTF, and even if I don't agree with or necessarily like this turn, I'll continue to stick by it.

The way I see it Evan, I think of this arc as The Empire Strikes BackΒ of GOTF. (Yeah, I hadΒ to bring up that movie...) Both areΒ dark toned and things get worse for the heroes. You're doing a marvelous job in writing.

very original name btw I see Shadows Chaos aura is blue. So I assume Sonic is still inside of him. Maybe thats the reason why Rouge looks so confused now ? I want to see Shadows face now. Either way for both present and past Shadow its time for some explanations

This one used to live near the city where the Madonna Inn is located. Once met Alex Madonna himself a few years prior to his passing during a Christmas season with the motel having its famous holiday decor. Such a wonderful establishment and landmark. It's pleasing to see how you pay tribute to the famous location.
