Something just occurred to me, and since I'm curious, I'll ask...
Because Shadow can use Sonic Control to "direct" Sonic's spirit, does this meanΒ he could also do the same with Scourge? I mean, since Scourge is basically another Sonic.

I don't think it would-- Shadow can channel Sonic's energy with such precision and impunity because Sonic's basically given him an open invitation to do so. Antique was basically trying to perform Sonic Control herself when the gang showed up, but Sonic was resisting her-- she was forced to torture him into submission.
Since Shadow and Scourge don't share a bond of familiarity and trust, Scourge would probably fight such a fundamental violation every step of the way. Also, Shadow's not used to working with Anarchy Energy, so that'd be troublesome too.Β

I alsoΒ see what you mean about the differences between Chaos and Anarchy Energy. Kind of like the difference between negative and positive current, even though both are electricity.
So, just to clarify: If, for some crazy whacked out reason, Shadow did want to perform Scourge Control, Scourge would either have to be willing, or, would have to be in a super weakened state. Yes? With Shadow also overcoming his unfamiliarity with the Energies of Anarchy...
Wow, after hearing myself say that back, I can see why there would be no reason for Shadow to even try. Both unnecessary and WAY too complicated! X3
