Ghosts of the Future, Issue 16 Page 7.And that's it for the Sonic and Shadow flashbacks in the series as things are currently planned out! I kinda regret making Shadow's coat green, it looks like he's wearing his future-pants on his arms.
...Actually no, I don't regret that at all.
Okida : Evan WANTED to make this all black and white to save time...but that was never going to last and I think we both knew it.

I am rereading the comic again. And have I ever mentioned that Shadow's smile is the most precious thing I have seen in a long time ?
It's so sweet and sincere. I really love how the colours change when Shadow finally makes peace with himself.

Hey Even, i got a question.
I've noticed in the older flashbacks Sonic only had Tikal's necklace, in this flashback he has the armbands, and in the present he has even more bling.
Do they just appear on his body as he his spirit grows older?

Yeah, they're appearing as he gets older and more powerful.
I goofed, though; when he gets the armbands is wildly inconsistent. Originally he got them in Issue 6 along with the extra bandages and the earrings/fancier necklace, but I started drawing them as an addition in the flashbacks in issue 13. Also I just draw the fancy necklace all the time because I like it so much more. The armband mistake happened because he had them in my original concept designs from before the series started, and for some reason I didn't like them back then!
My bullshit retcon "please don't look too hard at issues 1-4" timeline has him getting the necklace from Tikal, then the armbands when he first manifested with Shadow, then the earrings and bandages, and better necklace when he reappeared in the the Arabian Nights.
He's about due for some new stuff. I gotta figure out what he should get next, maybe leg bandages like Scourge had?

This page is strangely cute. I feel a sense of contentment and warmth in the characters, a subtle happiness coming from their movements (namely Sonic's sweeping, wispy dance - SO neat)!
Also, congrats on the colors here. I really like how you introduced them, softly.

Okay I'm caught up let me see if I can understand this
So I got everything up until Nicole showed up. She put Sonic into Metal, giving him an AI (which later turned into a good Metal) and somehow there was another Sonic who didn't remember what happened
Then she did something to Shadow, that made him go back to brainwashed Shadow, and now he's not again but pissed off or remembering something? (I don't know why he got mad at Sonic)
Then Scourge transported them to the Archie/Möbius world, where another emerald was, and he worked for Dark Gaia or something. Somehow Rouge and Omega were there and Shadow got his rings back. Scourge had a past with the echidna and now they'll work together to take down their version of Gaia.
Also Silver sister is a ghost for some reason, due to something Tikal did. Now they're back in their world with 3-4 emeralds, trying to stop the world from collapsing while dealing with Nicole.
I like the comic, it's just too much happened in issue 9 and 13-14 that left so many unanswered questions that now need to be answered that I'm confused. Is there anything I'm missing that you could fill in?

bro it's not that deep let people ship what they want to ship if it's not hurting anyone. it's 2017, there are more important things to worry about than what sonic ships someone likes. also shipping only canon ships is pretty boring. i don't ship anything in sonic cuz its /sonic/ but still it's kinda dumb to post a complaint on another persons comic because you don't like a ship that the artist might not even be implementing into it.
