you know sonic was originally going to be a guiding spirit in the early manga for the character, in that same manga also also introduced charmy bee who lives in box and helps sonic by time traveling. also do you think we might see eggman nega in a future issue, perhaps he could be a robot designed by eggman to continue his work after his death. what about other 'future' characters like gold the tenrec, and professor von schelmer from the Archie series. what about the time eater, or infinite?

Sega does provide guidelines for what creative teams can and cannot do with their characters and world (as is their right, being the property owners). These guidelines can change over time, depending on what's going on with the franchise as a whole, and who at Sega is making approvals. For the present-day Sonic comics, these are the dreaded "mandates"; while they're nebulous and changeable, and may sometimes be relaxed to make room for a good story, they are very real and NOT something Ian or any other freelance writer controls.

yeah sega mentioned that in this video here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=-2CGj5… at 13:43 & 25:23 but there is a difference between actual SEGA guidelines and the fabled mandates as told by Flynn.

nebulous and changeable is one thing, but these rules have been broken time and again. that's not an excuse.

then show us the list of these "very real" mandates with citation that they are actually from SEGA.
prove us wrong, i want you to prove us wrong, i am very open to listen to the other side, but the other side tends to have 0 proof to back themselves up, so as someone whos worked on the comics, please i want you to prove me wrong.

Aren't you being cruel blaming Evan?
Maybe Evan doesn't even know what was going on, and she's only telling her point of view.
She only works for it, but has no decision on these types of issues (And if even she knew or can maybe she can't even speak for a confidentiality contract or something else).
Besides that there is still the possibility of this being rumors and lies.
Not to mention that bringing this kind of issues in her fancomic doesn't seem fair to me or that you have good intentions.
If you want to complain, I think this isn´t the place or the right person for it.
My opinion, and if you don't want to follow this wonderful Fancomic, it's your loss.

Well, what I think you are doing right now is looking for a scapegoat to relieve your anger, regardless if they have told you the truth or if you don´t have all the information or circumstances.
And that's not right.
Not to mention that while this affects you on a superficial level, this affects her on a more personal level since it is her work and her private life.
She is not obliged to tell you anything, and yet she has answered you, and you haven´t hesitated to say that she lies only because of someone else's comment.
In my opinion, you are being rude and ungrateful to Evans.
Besides, this comment section is used to share your love for Sonic and GOTF, and you are turning it into a troll area of the internet where you accuse others and hate for hate.

Excuses to justify yourself.
That you don´t want to send me a private message shows that you don´t even respect other readers who only come here to read GOTF or Sonic fanfics, and not to get into a war or debate of conspiracies and conjectures without having clear evidence.
And all your actions have only been thinking about YOUR tastes (Accusing an evil conspiracy because SEGA doesn´t make the games or comics as you would like it to be), YOUR feelings (Feeling betrayed only because someone didn´t affirm what you wanted to hear about conspiracies ), and on YOURSELF.
At least admit that you are doing it for your own satisfaction.
PS: I recommend that you reread your messages, and realize that you are accusing Evan and on the basis of "evidence", if you really believe that by not saying literal insults you are not being rude and that your actions are not spreading hatred, then you are being naive.

Honestly, every message you send me proves I'm right, it's funny and ironic (and also a little pathetic).
And the only reason why you think she's lying to you is because you don't believe her word since you need a bad guy to ruin the things you like instead of accepting reality for itself.
I recommend you reread the comments (especially yours), to see if you are really seeing all this from an objective and reasonable point of view, because you sound frustrated, resentful to me, and that you are using Evan as an escape for your internal rage .
PS: And even IF she was lying to you, she hasn't said anything to you to overdramatize that way, either.
IF I thought she was lying, the most I would think is that she wouldn't even know what's going on, and she still answered you with what she knew.
But you go to the most paranoid conclusion, which is why I say that what you are looking for isn´t the truth, but a WITCH HUNT.
