Or I supposed Ghost!Sonic could just possess Sonic.

10 to 1 that whatever Shadow is about to do is a baaaaaaaad idea. I can only see him "freeing" Sonic by using Chaos energy (which we all know will make this hit the fan) or physically beating him out (which I'm not sure is possible, but since this is Shadow we're talking about, why not give it a go first?).
Also I've noticed that once a person reaches about 26 they generally have one of three reactions to their birthday:
1) How old am I this year? Just a sec while I do the math...
2) Oh yay. I'm celebrating a year closer to my death.
3) Any excuse for a party is a good one!
