She's an Archie's Sonic character. she's an A.I. that started out in a handheld computer but now has a holographic lynx form. And in the comics, she's good.

Well, Archie's Nicoke wasn't made by Robotnik, but Robotnik's grandfather Gerald made shadow. It's explained in his game "Shadow the Hedgehog."
