Welcome to Ghosts of the Future issue 11: Dark Mirrors!Have some Scourgey goodness-- I decided to work on my digital painting skills a bit. It's not totally how I'd like it to be, but it's getting there. I might tinker with this image a little more, but for now it's good enough.
Who's stoked for the new issue? It's gonna be fun!
...And the person in the back is Nicole, guys. Honestly, it's not that hard to tell! *flips table* ARGH

I'm currently using Adobe Photoshop CS4 for my digital work, but if you're just starting with Photoshop I recommend Photoshop Elements 4 (specifically that version-- the newer ones suck!). But really, drawing has next to nothing to do with the program you use. If you wanna draw, start keeping a pencil-and-paper sketchbook and draw in it every day. drawing from life is the most effective way to learn. Also, study color and graphic design.

You're good at drawing and coloring but you're bad at portraying Sonic characters and drama. It's either some cliched design or event. Your Sonic character design can be good (I know because you've made some characters look like they're straight from the comic) but they aren't. They aren't humans, you're making them as furries.

hey personally i like this sonic and shadow are in character it's just silver who isn't and he really dosn't have a character which is why Evan's drawing the comic in the first place!

Adding jewlery, rings, fingerless gloves, and clothing to the original Sonic design isn't in character, it's furrifying the original design. Unless you're talking about their way of acting, then yea, I guess I can agree on that.
