Well, I caved and I did a fanart of Tifa from the FFVII: Advent Children movie. It's really hard to tell any details from the short trailers that I've found so far, and the one magazine scan that I found doesn't show her outfit well either. But here it is.This is also a little gift for ~babyjami because she was a dear and got me a gift as well. ^_^.

Basically, they're making a movie based on FF7 that takes place two years after the end of the game. It'll be a 3D computer generated movie, like Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. The graphics look so preeeeeetty! I'll see the movie, if just for the graphics.

You've just gotta love hard hitting monks with spiffy combo attacks! I've always been a big monk fan (except for Zell >>; He was such a wanker). They landed right beside dragoon and thieves class on my 'top classes of uber spiffiness'. I always didn't like how to due the fact all the weapon and armor items went up in price in the exact same succession, making the monk incapable of reaping the benefits of being 'Mrs. Frugile' like they're supposed to... But then again, sell just one MAXed All-materia and you're basically financially set for the entire game.
I don't remember that being her outfit, though. I thought she wore a white tank with a black skirt and gloves? The outfit you drew her with is nice but I still think her old one was better. You know, plain and simple? And didn't she have a ponytail too?
I need to replay FF7. It's such an excellent game. You know I always get mad over how they made a sequal to FF X when they most likely would have made millions with a revamped FF7. I know I would've played it... and not stopped playing like I did FF X-2.

As for Tifa's new look, that's how Tetsuya Nomura designed her for the FF7 movie.
I was pretty mad about FFX-2 actually. I was super disappointed in it when I first heard the rumors, and it just went downhill when I read the OST review and saw the character designs. I was so very sad. I tried to play the game and hoped it would redeem itself somehow.. and.. no. Who the hell puts a MASSAGE MINIGAME in there?! But atleast the voice acting in X-2 was way better than the acting for X.
The voices and the graphics for the FF: Spirits Within movie were beautifully done.. but I didn't like the story that much either. I thought the way it ended was exactly like FF7.
I kinda wish they'd just revamp a second edition for FF7 and FF8 so that the polycounts are better and suited for the PS2. But I wouldn't like it if they changed the storyline. It'd be cool if they ADDED a few things to it though.

FF X-2 had one good feature to offer, and that was the new feature of the active battle system. You know, how the charecters repositioned themselves about the 'field' instead of standing in exactly the same place and never moving except to attack? I also liked how more than one person could be in action at the same time.
That was a good feature, and I really hope they continue using that! It made the battle more realistic.
But the whole dress sphere battle system? Bah... It was like some sort of videogame fashion show. Sure, some of the outfits were kind of nice, but really...
It was like they were making some sort of effort to revive the class system, but they didn't do a very good job. MAYBE if, you know, they made it that only certain charecters could use certain dress spheres... You know, fighters to Paine, rogues to Rikku, and mages to Yuna... If so, than just maybe it could've worked... somewhat better.
The massage mini-game was so dumb xD. I HATED THE CHOCOBO MINI-GAME. Did you play long enough to get to it...? Chocobo training was a bit more interesting in this one... just annoying to get. xX;
A remake of FF8 would be nice too, because it did have a touching storyline, but the battle system was annoying. The whole GF thing was... OK, but the having to steal magic in order to use it got really annoying. I remember in the last battle with Seifer, though, because I had Odin and knew that if you waited long enough that Giglamesh comes and knocks him out, I just continued to absorb aura spells from him xD. Got a lot of them.

I loved the live action battle system. It was one of the only redeeming qualities that the game had. The music was.. terrible. The entire soundtrack, I liked maybe three songs, not including the themes. The themes were pretty fun.
Yes, the chocobo raising thing was annoying as hell. And without it you couldn't go to certain areas. GAWD. It was annoying running across those plains over and over just to get to that stupid ex-monster ranch.
I liked that you didn't have weird limits on your spells. I'm pretty sure that 100 spells stocked up can save your team and end the battle, even with the strongest boss. It's better than running on MP for me, since MP runs out far too quickly. Some of the GFs were annoying, but it's good that they had long-ish sequences to boost them and stuff. My arm got pretty damn sore from the boosting. >.< The storyline was the best thing out of it, and the character / environment / world situation designs. I wish life was like FF8. I want my campus to fly damnit. >.<

I almost never used spells. At all. And that doesn't count Selphie's reels or Quistis's blue magic.
The GFs were fun to collect and boost, though. I remember I went to that one desert with all those cactaur. Cactaur give 20 skill points per kill, which was uber. Not to mention one of my favorite summons WAS cactaur. He was just so much fun, wheee!
If life was like FF8, I'd be Irvine!
You know I've always wondered.. Ya know Seifer's class is palidan, right? How can a palidan be evil?!
I still liked Irvine more, though.

Favorite summon out of all the GF's, probably Shiva. Cactuar was the GREATEST. That whistle sound totally took me by surprise the first time.
If I were in FF8, I'd be Rinoa, but less... chirpy? I'm a pretty happy person, but not as chirpy as she is.

I think it's a little hard to put Seifer in a paladin class... I think he's just a warrior. Classes weren't really all that distinguished in the game anyway.

They feel slightly different than the ones in Painter Classic, even though they're pretty much the same thing, but blending in 6 is much easier with watercolors for some reason. I am trés happy!

Although I really couldn't see how much further they could take the FF7 story, the awesome graphics make me want to see this movie. And I wanna see Tifa's new outfit and see if it's as bad as everyone says it is.. I should play FF7 to catch up on the story again.
