"I am a technician," Melody hissed. "I am not a doctor! I do not have a medical license! I fix and maintain computers and technology, not people! How have you not figured this out by now?! Were the jumpsuits with the word 'Technician' stitched on them too subtle a hint for your primitive mind to grasp?"

"Speaking of clothing, I still can't believe you thought that would be appropriate to wear on an op," Jericho remarked with a small grin as he held out a case labeled "Medical Supplies" for her to take.

"You told me to wear something nice!" The blonde bombshell half-shouted, cheeks flushing. "I thought you meant..." She pulled the doctor's jacket she had just been given more closely around her to help conceal the expensive red mini-dress she was wearing beneath it, which did nothing to conceal her stocking-clad legs from another Predator nearby, openly leering at her. That morning, 'special mission' had sounded to her like military jargon for going out on a date; in hindsight, it was much more obvious what the leader of the Predators was trying to tell her.

"I meant you should wear one of your jumpsuits that was clean and without holes in it. You don't find many zombies wearing clean clothes, so it makes you less likely to accidentally get shot. And, given we're here as much to help ourselves to Phanes' project data as we are to put down a T-virus outbreak, we don't have our standard unofficial authorization. You're better off being mistaken for a doctor here to help the wounded instead of a computer specialist here to hack their computers and steal the medical samples. More importantly, if they still have a security force holed up somewhere, they'll have no qualms about shooting the unknown gunmen trespassing in their secret lab - they're less likely to shoot an unarmed and gorgeous female doctor."

Melody Denise Hautchek, or "Hautchek, M.D." as other people referred to her, was both blessed and cursed to have the body of a female supermodel: silky blonde hair, pale yet clear blue eyes, and lightly tanned skin covering generous curves. Those features were the only thing most people noticed about her. Few people actually mistook her for a medical doctor, though; rather, it was invariably a reference to the endless "Doctor Hotchick" jokes that had plagued her.

Out of long ingrained habit Melody immediately replied "I'm a technician!"

It turns out that I'm not much better at outdoor lighting than indoor lighting. Trying to pull of a night scene lit by the full moon did not work out, but hopefully people can at least tell that it is supposed to be dark out?
