Description
This is a low-poly game-level example for my portfolio. The bridge is based on a real bridge spanning the Puyallup River in Sumner, WA. Each element of the scene has less than 200 polygons (including trees). Most of the details were modeled using texture maps to reduce the overall polygon count. The scene was setup and modeled similarly to third-gen consol racing games such as Project Gotham Racing 3.Programs Used: 3DS Max 5.0 (modeling), Photoshop 7 (textures)
Total time spent on scene: Around 20 Hours

Nah, those are just 3.5833333...' tall cones. (based loosely upon the proportions of the bridge)
Give or take.
I'm sure they make 'em that big somewhere.

This one is really amazing, I wish I could make scenes like this.
The only thing that doesn't seem right is the traffic cones' size... They look too big. But then again, that could be me. I dunno.
Great job nonetheless!

Can you get this to render and look this good real-time (25fps on a home PC)?
Nice looking pic!

Essentially, yes. It's a low-poly model with standard sized textures (I think the largest texture maps were 1024x1024, which is pretty commonplace for current or next-gen games)
If I knew programming enough to build an engine...
Thank goodness for programmers.

Great work then... When's "ExtraNoise Racing" going to hit our screens then?

Hahah, as soon as someone hires me.
I almost had an interview at Forza, but I missed a deadline by a day.

Argh, bad! But good if you can get interviews I suppose...
Good luck!
