Description
So I've been pretty busy lately. And as a means to relax, I've decided to do some speed paintings in the late hours of the evening. Not concentrating at all and basically making the biggest mess with a brush ever. Here we go!Related content

Good stuff! I'm searching through the paintings section, hoping to learn some stuff from other painters on dA. Yours came first; no wonder why!

As long as I still have you commenting, I can rest assured I did something right, ha ha. Serious, your last pieces have been really freaking sweet. You know all about textures yourself. Thanks man.

I used a photographed texture which I put on a layer above the whole image, which I set to "overlay". Then I put the opacity down to about 10%.

I generally use the regular hard edge brush, but on these I went totally apeshit with a custom brush set by Rob G, which you can get here . It's definitely worth a try.
Thanks for the comment man.

Amazing..............amazing work, as always, these are rediculous. You know i worked at a Gallery for about 6 years, and i would see people buying paintings of the same genre, but lower calibur, so im just saying, you could be racking up the big bucks for stuff like this. DOPE WORK BRO!

Ha ha, thanks man! Once I get something more complete and detailed done, I might look into that whole gallery business. Might be worth a shot.
What about yourself man, how's life?

WOW, that sounds dope, id like to do something like that as well, i know alot about running galleries, so i would eventually like to try my hand at it. As far as life goes, NO COMPLAINTS HERE, except for the fact that i am having the biggest brain fart as far as my art goes. It sucks this great opportunity shows itself, and i run into a problem like this, hope it doesnt last long. My break has been great though, chillin with the wife and family, and drawing my arse off (as horrible as my art has been, still lovely) and just enjoying the freedom. What about you? Send me a note, and once again, lovely piece/

Whoamigosh... These are all gorgeous. I thought that this had to be a school assignment or something--I can't believe that you were working on getting so much perspective and depth into each of these at your own will. (Not that you -wouldn't- want to use those techniques...but... yeah. ) I think my favorite is either the very first one because it looks AMAZING, or the second one because I wish I was there.

Some took about 30 minutes, while others took way longer, i.e. technically way too long to actually classify as speedpaintings.

Those look great. When you gonna illustrate your own comic? I'd buy something like this for sure.
