The mighty Kizer randomly hit me up a couple days back with a sketch of my character, and I was highly flattered, because if you know Kizer then you know that he knows his hit. Precisely.Pencils: Kizer!
Colors: Me (Monk)
Software: Painter IX
By the way, at the moment the picture includes only my signature, but I'll add one in for Kizer soon and then update tomorrow.

Great change on the texture from what I normally see from you. Looks like you had a good bit of fun with this bad boy. And holy crap Bombface is BUFF!
Really dig the outter accents (swirls).
How long does it usually take you to churn out the colors?
And did you ever get your compy fixed and those files recovered?

Haha, yeah everybody's commenting on the buffness.
This one took me like... I don't know, all in all I actually took my time with it and changed quite a bit throughout the image, I spread it out over like four days.
But I probably could have done it in one if I was pressed for time, so I'd guess it took me six or seven hours?
And no ;____;
I never recovered that one psd. I ended up doing it all again. I managed to save the flat colors, so at least that was something, but in the end I could give a damn about the flats, the rendering is the part that takes the most time and that was all gone. But hey, it's done now!

Yeah, the buffness is something hard to miss.
Shame you weren't able to save your work. Rendering is always the most labor you toss into digi work - aside from inking (BLECH).

Weird thing is that he basically gets interpreted as a sprayer constantly these days, which... well, he's not. He has nothing to do with graffiti, except for that one time where I put him in a graff piece, but that was jut for fun.

No I don't know any sites particularly worth checking out about color theory. Just type "color theory" into google, it's all more or less the same anyway.
