Description
This is a new area for me. I've railfanned the UP transcon before, out by Lawrence and Topeka, but never as far east as suburban Kansas City. Here, a pair of SD70ACes #8334 and #8408 lead a short stack westbound down the transcon a few miles from their large Armourdale flat yard on the Kansas Sub in urban Kansas City, KS (which unfortunately, I doubt I'll ever really get to see more than fleeting glimpses of due to the astronomical crime rate of the surrounding area).
It was approaching dusk at this point, and the headlights on this were just blinding, hence the title.

Yeah. It's the sacrifice you have to make in order to get the damn shot to come out at all. It also has too much noise for my liking, but whatever I guess.

I think you could go and ask the yard master if you could get a few pics...sometimes they are very nice...This is a great shot!

Not too certain on that one. Armourdale is the biggest yard in the region that isn't a hump yard (for UP), and much of what runs to Chicago flows through there. It's also ridiculously long.
