Description
An experiment in painting without lineart as well as fanart for one of my all time favourite authors, Rick Riordan!Percy and his pegasi Blackjack, overlooking the ocean and an angry sky... maybe Zeus is having a fit at Poseidon...
The title comes from some notes I read on the wiki regarding Blackjack (Percy's pegasi) that mentions that Blackjack may have gotten his name after the risky card game because every time Percy takes to the sky, he puts himself in danger from Zeus. Also, just because he is a demigod (most don't have a great life expectancy) his life is definitely a very risky gamble.

I loved these books Though I was very disappointed with the film. Anyways, this painting has a nice sense of action to it, even though there is not a whole lot of movement in the characters themselves. I like your rendition of Blackjack too. He looks like he'd be quite nimble in the air

PERCY JACKSON BOOKS~ ;A;
I've read them all.
And I got the last book when it came out. And I was fangasming, and I was obsessed with it for the entire day.
And then I had read it all... D: But the end was awesome. Rick Riordan knows how to write!
Blackjack is one of my favourite characters! I adore his personality. Yet, Percy is definately my favourite Also, it looks great without lineart o3o

Do it! It's really, really good! I've read the first greek series twice now and I'm dying to read the second and the Egyptian one. Rick Riordan is a fantastic author. His writing style is really simple but it's fast paced, perfectly described and really funny! Love it!

I might I'm in the middle of another series, really funny. The Stephanie Plum number series by Janet Evanovich, she also writes in first person but her stories are modern ((started in '94)) and about a girl in New Jersey who loses her job so takes up becoming a bounty hunter for her slime-ball bail-bonds cousin, Vinnie. I can't explain it in a way that describes just how hilarious it is

I LOVE THIS SERIES. Ski, I will loan you a copy of the first book if you return it someday. XD
It's also modern time, but based on Greek and, in the following series, Roman mythology. It's pretty much awesome.
When I tried to go back to it I thought the first book was somewhat simpler than, say, the first book of the second series (which was was somewhat better tailored) but I think the writer got a lot better as he wrote the story, which is to be expected, and it's still quite epic. Regardless, I love all of the concepts and it's rather funny and at the same time intriguing to a mythology-geek like me.

My bro has the whole series so I can always borrow it from him back home

Your pegasi looks as if he's more than willing to take on a little risk. Well done indeed!
