Description
I've been working on this for a while now and started over again many times, since the data I got to work with is pretty poor. I combined at least 3 maps of Ceres I found over the internet, and the shadings of 2 bump maps to remove the shadows creating something resembling an albedo map. Since the resolution of the currently public Ceres DEM is roughly 1k, the result is not what I hoped for, so I will redo this when better data is avaliable. The brightness is albedo-corrected and color should be close to reality. This texture is meant to be rendered with a bump or normal map. Original resolution was 21k (130 MB png!) this is a 20k jpg version.Related content

Hard to see, but I gotta remember it really is about as dark as asphalt!

exactly! But it depends on what screen you are using, if well calibrated it is still easily visible
And this is just the gamma-corrected version. When using a linear brightness-funkion it would be even worse! But I think that would be incorrect.
