A remake of my Skarmory pre-evo [link]

Skarmy (Sky+Arms {i.e. small weapons})
- Normal/Flying
- Helmet Bird Pokémon
- Ability: Keen Eye/Sturdy
- Evolves into Skarmory via Maximum Happiness at minimum Lvl. 15
Iron: "Because it nests in brambles to avoid predators, SKARMY's down becomes hard as steel in response to the constant irritation of its environment. This growth process is so ingrained into its cells that its feathers become hard even if it is raised in soft nests."
Copper: "Its metal helmet, combined with its tiny wings, makes SKARMY too heavy to fly, so it uses its sharp beak and claws to defend itself. But unlike most bird Pokemon, it can walk within minutes of birth, allowing it to begin learning moves faster than other Pokemon."
Bronze: "It is said that SKARMY was the only offspring born from Skarmory, who died shortly after childbirth, prompting it to bury its parent in its own head. Its legs are surprisingly powerful, and it can run at 15 mph even with the metal plate over its head."

When I posted this last time, I didn't get as many comments/faves as I would have wanted, but now I realize that it was because the concept hadn't translated from head to paper as well as I would have wanted. So I decided to redo it a little. After seeing 's Fuzzmory [link] I decided to make Skarmy Normal/Flying type, because it's just a cute little bird that hasn't developed the metal armor characteristic of my species.
I based the revamp off a lark, mostly, though it does take influence from a roadrunner as well. The Bronze Pokedex entry is based off the Aesop fable "The Lark Burying her Father," which basically points out that youth's first duty is reverence to parents, hence Skarmy's evolution via happiness.
Skarmy's shiny sprite will be gray with a gold plate on its neck and green feathers on its wings, head, and tail. It will also be Aang the Avatar's fifth Pokemon in my Iron/Copper fanfic.
