**IMPORTANT**
I have been getting comments about whether or not using liquid nails is safe. I don't know. If you're not comfortable using it, don't use it. I used it and I'm ok, but I very rarely wear them. I would not suggest wearing them frequently. Furthermore, The liquid nails worked alright at first, but I found the teeth would fall off after a bit. I'm still trying to find a way to adhere the teeth to the retainer successfully. I have tried hot glue and super glue, neither of which worked. I will update if I find a more successful adhesive. Said that they used hot glue to fill in the gap and then super glue to hold it in and it worked well. I havent tried that but it worked for them!

Hi there! I just get the opaque ones, they're whitish but also sort of clear. You can buy them in big packs for very cheap. You don't want french tips because those are 2 toned

I actually very nearly bought a pair of french tips earlier today for this, but decided against it and that I should ask before purchasing any materials that I wasn't sure about.

Have you tried... Gorilla Glue perchance? It is super glue but its like the toughest glue ever (though it doesn't stick too well to some plastics). Its non-toxic when its fully cured after like a day. There are several types of it but I know some are dark and dry brown but I'll have to look if there are some lighter drying colors if I tried my hand at making some of these teeth.

hmm thats actually a really good idea! i know some gorilla glue glues white so I will check out the ingredients and give that a test run! thanks for the suggestion ^^

I was thinking that maybe you could use a denture adhesive to paste the nails because it doesn't fall with saliva :3 I will try with that and see if it works!

i wish to cosplay suigetsu from naruto, but i have braces. in your opinion would your tutorial work for me? Its very simple to follow, and wish to use it...but just dont know if it'd work for me....

That's toxic stuff!! NEVER PUT CAULKING IN YOUR MOUTH!! and very dangerous!!!!! why would u use that stuff, even the vapors are deadly!!!!! i like your tutorial but when i got to the caulking i was like, "WHAT THE"... "U CAN DIE FROM THAT STUFF!!!" never put that stuff in your mouth, not at all!!! It's only for houses and tubs also construction. not anywhere in the human body. Hot glue is much safer and i think theres a cement glue that's not toxic. Glad you are OK.
But other than that very good tutorial, i will be using this just not the caulking stuff

could you give me a suggestion then? (this stuff also doesn't even have a smell... i figured two days of wearing it wouldn't hurt but I AM trying to find a better way to make them.) Unfortunatly hot glue did not work either... i also tried super glue to no avail. What cement glue are you referring to? (Incase you didn't see I also put a warning up that i didn't know any health repercussions that might come of this and am trying to find a better way.)

Oh, well I have also tried denture glue before and the problem is it's not permanent and the teeth fall of fairly quickly because saliva loosens the grip. It's such a dilemma!

Just so you all know I looked up the liquid nails glue and they sell the exact same kind (Liquid Nails Projects) in a smaller easy squeeze tube so you probably won't need a caulk gun and you won't have to buy a massive thing of glue for one retainer!

Hey. I have a few questions
1. How can I know what tempture the water is? Would a normal thermometers work or something cause I don't have anything fancy like what you used in your pictures.
2.) Where can I get Liquid Nails and would I just squeeze it on or something?
3.) What is a caulk gun and why is it needed?

I don't know, it just falls right off. Also it can melt the retainer out of shape.
