one of a series of small watercolor studies made in preparation for larger oil pieces that i never got around to making. i can't believe i didn't already post these, but now i want prints of them so i thought i'd sneak them in. they aren't actually new, but they are in one of my myriad of sketchbooks and i'm afraid that without getting some prints these drawings will just vanish in the pile of papers and never be seen. i have a real hangup about tearing things out of my sketchbooks, so the originals are probably going to live in the books for the rest of thier natural existance...anyway, i really liked this series even if they were never "finished"... some of the text is journal freewriting and some is song lyrics

Oddly enough, since I'm not a big fan of non-fried birds, I like it. This would make a cool print.

it DOES make a cool print... i have purchased a few of them myself and i think they turned out very well, the colors are perfect, all the details are there!
