Take that, laws of physics.
Yeah, I'm not the most proud of my logic for this page...canon Fliqpy can break ropes like this without the use of tools, and really? A knife to the eye for someone who was wearing a visor? Well, I suppose that's how my brain used to work back in 2008.
Aside from my nonsense, the following pages had to go through a series of more noticeable changes in anatomy, angles, composition and perspective, with this being my first attempt at a scene of pure action. So much it didn't even had any dialoges, fortunatelty
It's not the most ingenious thing you are going to see, but it is still an unnecessarily violent and fun sequence, even if it's just because of the expressions.
And for those who are just starting to know the comic and aren't sure of how violent this is going to get. I don't really think it's enough to consider it mature content...but there could be a small warning around here, because this is going to be a cartoony mess indeed.

Logically make sense or not it's convincible enough for me. I love the little silliness added to it. Dumb solders all look upward instead of focusing on the threat. What a rookie army xD
I find the paintbrush texture a little distracting though.

A rookie army made by rookie artists, and that's exactly why I can't bring myself to change this all that much
Hmm, and it is a little distracting on some parts, right? I'll try to make the texture a bit less random then. Thank you for you comment!

I was excited to see this page!
I always loved how you draw this side of Flippy very much!
I'm curious, particularly because I don't have anything to compare to. Do you redraw all of the artwork (sorry if you've answered this question elsewhere)? I can see the changes in how you draw characters, but I can also see hints of how you used to draw back in the day, so I had to ask.

Yay, thank you! I'm very glad to know you approve how this turned out, I had a lot of fun revisiting the Fliqpy pages >w<
The fixing process varies from page to page, depending on how bad the original lineart is. I doubled all PS files and for the most part, I'm taking the same linearts and editing them directly, so the drawings are partly old and partly new. There are some cases where I've been having to redraw almost the whole thing though, like how I did on page 5. Full redraws will be much more common on chapter 4, as I will have to do more drastic changes. I still haven't reached that part, but It's possible that pages that are way too loaded with panels will have to be completely new (the worst case is 25 panels ), just tracing and fixing, so the original idea stays basically the same.

Well, it was 11 years ago, you know? XD Still, it's fascinating that you refuse to change stuff that was illogical, but I guess that's fine. If you still want to keep your stuff the way it is, that's okay.
Man, impulse-firing is not a good trait for a soldier to have. He got the penalty for killing a teammate.

Yeah, I'm not being truly critical in my comments (it's been 11 years indeed xP), but I still want to make some fun of my old mistakes, as much as recognizing the old hits too
The whole scene is filled with chaos, so the lack of logic doesn't really affect the story on this case. And yeah, that soldier should have seen that knife coming to him

Guess those visors are for eyesight aid and debris blocking, not for protecting against weapons

Probably, but for a knife...I don't know. I still tried to justify it a little by drawing the visor falling. It's still forced, but at least not as as inexplicable as before

It is very possible to put a knife through a visor, whether it was designed for protection or not. Plus, this is a bear boy who stabbed multiple less-sharp objects through a barrel in "Party Animal", and I'm sure a barrel is tougher than eyewear

Yeah, cartoon physics still play an important role in this
