There is actually some storyline relevance to this as opposed to me just drawing snuggles for the sake of drawing snuggles- just Alex and Phoebe touching upon her rather troubled teenage years while stealing some time away from her parents/his in-laws."I've had my share of boys up in my room, but never one I've felt this way about."

You're on the right way!
Try to think of your characters as organic things; organic things are rounded, and never really come in perfect straight lines! also do studies of dogfaces and such from different angles, it'll help! :Β³
