Description
so here i some progress of the handle for the hidden dragon. i havent been able to work on it the past few days becase my hand was swollen from a yellow jacket sting that gave me cellulitis, but it seems to b gone now.i had to glue some extra layers of wood on the cut out layer, then i used a belt sander to give the handle guard the slope it has in the game. the handle itself is rounded and finished, but the guard still has to be finished maybe tomorrow because i dont work. just making the lip on the outline of the handle.
earlier in my journals for those of you who saw it, i was trying to decide what to do about the notches that i believe to be flame curls on the blade. i think that the reason for that is actually because of the graphics. i usually go with what it has in game, but this seemed more realistic. i still have time to change the curls from what they are now, so please comment about what you think i should do with them.
i will probably be addin layers at the top of the key, the next key is hero's crest and i have a commission for a friend that i might be able to get done before otakon: the way to dawn. i hope i just have enough time to finish my six. i got 4 done in 2 months and i have a little less than that to do three and the keychains on the ends of all of them.
commissions will start in august for any video game prop. mainly kh. any kh weapon, accessory, and maybe character sculpture. please check out my other keys if you'd like!

I used pine plywood for the middle layer to keep it strong cause its about 10 pounds, and sandeply plywood for the glued on parts. I actually just finished cutting out the top pieces and the glue is drying. Next is to sand it and paint.

It's lookin great do you just use ordinary wood glue when adding extra layers or something else?

i used liquid nail. it comes in a tube like silicon. once it cures, its really hard to pull apart. or push together, so make sure that if you ever use it, you use clamps to hold the pieces together. and thank you!

okay, that's what i used but i had a little trouble with it in the past, probably because i didn't clamp it, i'll be sure to remember that next time, thanks
