I still feel like I should work into this a bit more, but it's taken so long to finish and I should work on other things too ^^
From lineart:
I did do a digital version, but never quite finished
For the traditional original I wanted to keep a more analogical colour scheme and also have it at twilight time.
The original artwork was created using alcohol based markers and water-soluble coloured pencils on A3 Bristol board.
I hope people enjoy it.

Surreal beyond surreal. I stopped worrying that the quail wouldn't unbalance the tea tray and wondering where the tea server's right thumb was when I saw the goldfish or koi or whatever they are rising with the steam from the tea.
For some reason this reminds me of the last verse from "Suzanne" by Leonard Cohen:
There are heroes in the seaweed,
There are children in the morning,
They are leaning out for love
And they will lean that way forever...
probably because the latter is equally beyond my comprehension.

The detail is great but it almost seems like too much is going on. It's hard to look at. So yeah, you could have had better composition.
