Description
Part 1: This onePart 2: [link] (shading body)
Part 3: [link] (shading mane, tail, feathering)
-----~~
First part of a tutorial that will cover how I 'shade' horses and other equines. It won't just be shading (as is obvious in this part), but it covers everything I do after being done with the lineart and base colouring until the finished horse.
And boy, does it take effort to make this thing! Without the tutorial to work on, the image probably would've been done already!
Anyways, hope you find this usefull!
This part covers:
- Base drawing/colour mane, tail and feathering
- Colouring eyes
- Shading eyes
Feel free to use (of course), but do not steal, please

You'll have to save the image (file) as a .jpeg or .gif or .psd or I dunno what else...

I love how you do your eyes. They always seem really bright and expressive. Can't wait to see the next part!

Hmm... Interesting. Though I honestly think the shine in the eye looked more realistic before you blurred it.

Thanx And yeah, I actually was sorta thinking about that too... I might go and implement that later on. It is just that more often than not, the blurred version does look better (this is one of the few exceptions I've had so far...)

This is really helpful, thanks! I'm looking forward to the other shading parts, because that's what I struggle with most.

You're welcome I'm glad you like it
And yeah, I'd guessed as much, but this thing takes so much time *sighs* which is why I decided to post this part already... the other part(s) is/are coming though!
