Light fades from the world as the sun dims a little each day. Toxic miasma rains down from the sky. The Gods have abandoned Da'Loya. What hope is there for its denizens then? For those who hold onto this festering corpse of a world as a drowning man clings to wreckage at sea? Adapt or die. Her experience at Lovus Galgutha Prison changed Lian. Though she walks among the living, her heart no longer beats in her chest. She may not be undead, but darkness clings to her as it does the shadowkind . She has grown fearless, cold to the world and it's concerns. Once but a simple thief, Lian is now a ruthless assassin.

This piece was created in Manga Studio 5 using a Microsoft Surface Pro 3. It presents original characters, creatures, and the world of In the Shadow of the Ancients. ItSotA is a comic project that I am working on with my husband, based on a tabletop roleplaying game campaign we ran over the course of years. It was a multifaceted saga, that spanned multiple groups of players and branching storylines, and original adventures. We utilized Dungeons & Dragons, Dungeon World, Torchbearer, and Pathfinder.
