It has been asked by many, so here it is !It's actually my first (serious) tutorial x)
Well I hoped it helped you
What you can also do is practicing with drawings of dragon artists (which is what I did)
Try to find an easy way to draw paws.

oh yeah it will work with pencil, I guess you can lightly do the first sketch and then press it harder

Yes, it is a fowl beast that lurks the depts, even tamed, it still remains a wld animal, you may get the Gimp out of the jungle, but you can't get the jungle out oof the Gimp

Well your animated icon has to be saved in the .gif format
And then you can just changed the icon in your settings

Different colors are also great to mark out claws and other details.

I think it would be useful if you took a look at real-life paws from animals such as Felines, Reptiles and maybe even birds? to get an idea of how they are

I like my "cartoon" way of drawing them

You'd be surprised by how much you can improve "cartoon" styles by looking at realistic anatomies of existing animals. Not only would it look for accurate but you can still play around and develop on top of your existing style! Don't be scared to try news things is all i'm sayin too
