Angry Papyrus is best Papyrus.
Goddamn I finally finished this page. Not that it was a difficult page, but a combination of poor time management, a crazy week, and my perfectionism caused this to be delayed. I think it was worth the wait though...
While working on this one I listened to this for about 3 hours straight, and I'm not exaggerating when I say 3 hours. As you can see, I have very refined taste in music. I like to think it helped me get in the mood for this page, you know? Or maybe it killed my brain cells and slowed down production. Whatever it was fun either way.

I guess you could say that Sans has been giving Papyrus a... bad time.
Also, there is an AU called Disbelief (I think) which has Papyrus replacing Sans in the Judgement Hall at the end of a genocide run. And this should totally be one of his lines.

I actually understand how Papyrus feels though. If I act upset even once in front of my family, they just count it as me being over dramatic, as if my negative emotions are false & as if I don't deserve to be human like everyone else. They place such high expectations on me that when I crash & fall from that height, they expect me to just pick right back up & keep going, but that's not how reality works. I need to use my time effectively & if they can't provide that support for me, then I just have to leave them out of it. Which is where the lying & the false happiness comes in, where you never ask for help when you really need it & eventually all you begin to tell them is that "everything is good". 'Cause as much as you love them, deep down inside, you don't trust them to catch you when you do eventually fall & you don't want to disappoint them. So you keep going & forget what it was like when you never had to worry about a single thing. You do it for them, because you love them & they always had your back as they still do, just not in every possible way. Still, they do their best & you need to do your best. You realise that it's time for you to take charge of your own life, with or without anyone else left with you.
At least, I think that's how he's feeling, anyways. Obviously, his situation is way more intense & losing his cool isn't the best way to go. Still, who wouldn't be upset in his position? It's not good to bottle it up & it's not good to take it out on your brother, but leaving it for later to take it out on Flowey will only cause you to become a bitterbones & nobody likes being a bitterbones. So, no good options are available when you're in such distress & unable to think clearly, boxed inside a place where you can't escape such a foe as Flowey, a foe you once trusted & who knows you better than you know yourself sometimes. The one who betrayed you, but who you still believe can change, because you can still see the good in them.
I see the good in everyone, but I don't do what Papyrus does. I let them take the first step, because only they can decide what's more important to them, not me. I have no bearing on their life & I never did. Reaching out is good, but only when you're not placed in the firing line for the potential infliction of damage. It's just a shame he had to learn these things the hard way in this universe. Still, it can't be avoided. Everything is possible.🤷 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Wow! This page is artistic genius! The snapping in the first few panels. How angry Papyrus looks! The angle, how he looks down at us, the reader. And Sans, who is still stuck with his grin, but looks so surprised because of the outbreak.
