Description
Tutorial used: Origamisan's Mini AlbumShortly after finding this tutorial, *ArtisanCraft announced an Origami Contest to celebrate their growing membership. I whipped up the album the next day, took some photos, and completed it by the end of the week. Having such a vague deadline is apparently a good motivator for me
Unfortunately, I didn't get a pic of the album with the photos in it. More details, including the photos I used, can be found here .
What do I like about this club?
To make this album, I used origami paper I had on-hand from a kit I got years ago. I was never that great at origami--always had to follow the instructions exactly as written and never designed anything of my own--and it will probably never be my primary form of art, but it felt really good to try it out again. Like knitting/crocheting, it's taking some simple, everyday object (string, paper) and turning it into something completely different just by folding it a bunch of times.
I like this club because it exposes me to art I probably wouldn't see otherwise--papercraft , woodworking , and one of my fave places to browse culinary arts
I give *ArtisanCraft permission to post this

that is so pretty!I like the papers you used, most especially the blue one.
But most of all, I like your attitude regarding crafts/crafting. I think it's very inspiring. ^^ (makes me want to *finally* try out knitting, since it's something I wanted to try out for a very long time but kept finding reasons not to try it. )

Thanks, hun. The blue one is by far my fave, too
Doooooo iiiiiiiiit! The worst that could happen is that you're out a couple bucks for the needles and you have more yarn for crochet cakes

Oh, lol! Hmmm...I haven't thought of it that way. Yeah, buying more yarn because I wouldn't be able to buy needles would definitely take out the frustration.
Well, then. I better start looking for that "How to Knit" book I've had for so long...Hmm... where is it? (See, I was meaning to start learning... Ahaha...
)
Thank you so much for the encouragement.
