NOTE: I fully drew EVERY pixel myself, I made it look similar to the GBA games in style, but no such pose was ever used in those (gba) games so far.Animation is based on his walk movement from sonic adventure.
( I recorded the move, then sketch 8 frames & carefully position each limb in the relative correct place.
Then drawn a rough base of the head and body, add the limbs, then carefully make changes to each following frame.)
Motion blur added because some movements are too subtle to draw as solid lined pixels.
I needed the practice to keep my old spriting skill.
Also it moves slow because it seems gif files cant go faster than 12 fps in most cases. >.<
I'll use this as an avy for awhile I think.

I know you got this question alot but I was wondering will you be adding that to a spritesheet (yes yes I know I'm late to the party but just gotta ask you know) it just looks so carefully done and a lot of detail has been put into it, the ears kinda sway but they look like they shift from side to side(maybe it's the motion blur that makes it seem that way) anyway I know you've put a lot of time and effort on this so I gotta fav this for sure

That's the best Tails animation I've seen all day! It doesn't involve some crappy flash of him being the wrong color and looking like a moron or that obnoxious AOSTH style of him getting scared and his heart coming out his mouth (which makes NO sense by the way) and he's even the right colors, or close to them anyway. Nice. And I love the afterimage effect. Is it so people can't steal itbecause that's really awesome.

did u use a program to to create the animation? And if so what was it, I kinda always wanted to get into computer animation.

This was just Photoshop, though I've started using "Pro Motion" recently too.
For this I just draw the basic images on paper, then on PC the basic shapes to share on frames/layers, starting with just the basic frames~like 4,add the details then add the in betweens later.
Basically it takes lots of practice and image references study.

Good sir, I am a sprite veteran and I work with scratch spriting, and have done so for quite a while, and I have NEVER seen anything like this. This is absolutely gorgeous. 8D It's absolutely Flawless, the animation frames are perfect, the perspective is top-notch, and the head-bob is a beautiful touch. You're obviously a very talented pixel artist.
I myself have a nack for pixel art and have studied many professional pieces, ranging from Metal Slug series to the aforementioned Sonic Advance series, and I have never seen anything like that in the entirety of any edition in the series.
Did you do the motion blur effects manually? Even if you didn't the way you kept colors from bleeding out onto the transparent background color is very well handled.
I think we could use someone like you for Project-S. Project-S is a community-made fangame based on the cancelled Sonic Xtreme game. The project is lead by none other than Chris Senn (game artist and designer) himself.
