Description This print is based on an original Artist Trading Card (ATC) of intricate Celtic knotwork illustrated in black ink. Although this piece was hand-drawn and inked, the end result closely resembles a traditional wood block print in composition. The print itself includes a generous white border to set off the shape of the card image with style.

LOL! Yeah, I can plan it out pretty easily, but if I think about it too much while I'm doing the actual knotwork, my brain starts to knot too. Seriously - heh.

What a great one! But I understand what you mean about thinking too much about it. You gotta just sort of stare ahead, as if looking though the paper, and then shut off the brain.. is what I do.. hehe
There's something about working this intricate stuff though.. for some reason it's as if one becomes more alert.. My hearing actually greatly improves while I'm drawing. You?

Yes! Maybe it's that the usual mid-range focus is tuned out and so all the periphery, including minute details we're drawing, are 'tuned in'? Well, it probably wouldn't hold up in court, but sounds like a good theory to me - LOL.
