Adler's Prelude - Andria's LessonsHere is the comic to introduce the character Andria to the story. This is more about the small, but important lessons Ashien learned from Andria.
The hardest part about making this panel was making the punch line. I needed something silly that was in Ash's character, but not just stupid and dangerous.
I'll leave it up to the reader to guess what kind of story she's telling there.
I KNOW she's not wearing much of anything in this comic, but this is pretty normal for her. She is a nudist after all.
It's best to understand that before Ash knew she was going to be a mother her favorite hobbies were, fighting, drinking, sex, and long baths. No matter how much she enjoys these things, what matters more to her is Adler. Just to show her priorities are straight.
She's not a bad mother. Just inexperienced and ill informed.
The attentive reader might catch onto a small bit of information about Adler in the second panel. Adler was actually born a month premature, but oddly enough he wasn't. It's a small tid-bit into the mysteries of the greater story of Adler.
I hope to have the colored version out soon and I look forward to comments and thoughts.

Nope, she likes to tell him stories of her adventures, but she tends to get over excited and starts telling him parts he really doesn't need to know.

She's talking about tales from her own past. Lot of that involved sex. She's a woman with very little shame. Only thing that matters to her is her child.

She is a different kind of mother that's got sure. At that age he has no idea what she's saying. She's just acting funny to him. Babies like sound and movement. Thing is she really doesn't see the harm in it honestly.
To her it's just a story about her past and sex just happens to play a large part in it.

Yeah Ashien tells him all kinds of stories and that includes stories of her past and that involved her sexual adventures. She doesn't see the harm in it. As far as she sees it he seems to enjoy it, but he has no idea what she's saying. He just sees her moving around and making funny sounds. Just seems more wrong because she's a nudist too.
My favorite panel is the fourth. It's my guess her favorite thing out of all of these was sleeping with Adler in the bed. You're just not suppose to sleep in bed with babies because if you rolled on then you'd smother them.
I'm not sure if you would want to meet her. She's a lot more deadly then I've had the chance to show. Having Adler calmed her down quite a bit, but she's still dangerous.

I am just saying I been seeing alot of manga produce by Tokyopop from people who just like to draw. They do have those contest for upcoming manga artist. you know you do a quick page comic send it in if you get first prize they will produce you comic. Just saying

This is more of the extreme of the 1st child, because of the way Ash grew up she knew next to nothing about raising a child.
I wanted the first two to be understandable mistakes, but the last one to just be silly.
