Hello, just looking around. This is great. I downloaded that Apophysis 7x. Pretty easy to use but I have no inkling of what I'm doing. Still come up with some interesting prints. Hugs Maggie

In return for your nice compliment, I'll pass along a few secrets! 
I started with a script that makes a vaguely star-shaped gnarl fractal. I tweaked it in the Apo Editor to make it more fancy and lace-like. During the tweaking, the centre suddenly "opened up" and revealed the pearl! The purple frame is one of the "masks" from Photo Pos Pro, a free photo editor. I like this frame beause it's translucent and lets a bit of the fractal show through.
Feel free to ask me things! It's through sharing that we grow. I'm very pleased that you like my fractal! I have a few more in this style that I'm working on.

You understood how it felt! What we do in Apophysis is adjust the amount of various shapes that we want to have contribute to the fractal. The shapes all influence each other, too. We can see the fractal changing shape as we move the numbers up or down in the editing box. As I watched, the center opened up and the pearl appeared!
