Description
Must be seen in fill view in order to see the threads clearlyFrom the border of the ordinary Mandelbrot set (that is Quadratic Connectedness Locus). A color routine written by is used that colors the borders of the level sets. UF of course
Below the parameter file, play and have fun

I really wish I could figure out how they find the boundaries between the color bands. Thanks for posting the parameter file.
Its so annoying when all someone posts is “…”

You have this feature in fractal eXtreme also, and there it's more easy, I think, as the fractal images are stored after iteration- (dwell-) number. But in UF that does not store anything according to iteration However it was my dear friend Stig Pettersson who wrote a plugin (MandelLevels contained in the sp-folder) If you have UF you can check the source code
I think I am the only one her on DA who does. But it's half the joy to inspire people

Thanks! I'll look into it. I typically store an array of exit values and do all imaging processing post set processing. There is a lot or good reasons to do it that way.
Anyway, I’ll see if I can find that source. I would like to take a crack at this style of rendering.

Not storing dwells is one of the bad thing with UF However most UF users produce their images on most other basis than iterations

Thank you for your kind words Julie You should know that almost all of may fractal images here are raw. That is no filters are used
I use to say I am a fractal traveler rather than a fractal artist

Hehe, regarding this one and the other mandelbrot zooms it's almost principal to just zoom, increase the iteration number when black holes appear in the stars, and choice or create a nice gradient Regarding "cubics", quartics", and pentics" there is also a principal element of gliding along the non-plotted axis' (glide carefully typing in small numbers, usually between 0 and 1)
Ooh, I must recommend my "chaotic series of fractal articles" [link] Do you have Ultra Fractal?

Did not the index page open? Well if you take it very slow and not all of the articles are mathematical. For example articles 10 - 14, dealing with how the Mandelbrot set looks like

Thank you Vanessa But they are not drawn
And due to the minimum scape radius (=2, that is bailout = 4) they are not parallel, especially not in the spike region

Thank you Jessica It's a rather ordinary Mandelbrot motive
If you run the parameter file you can see where I have zoomed in by simply shift-drag down

great one, dear! may I ask for an additional much more zoomed version, where those wonderful coloured spirals are? pleaseeeeeeeee

FractalMonster In reply to SoulNeverLies [2007-07-25 10:31:35 +0000 UTC]
Thanks Mone You may zoom yourself. But this color routine only coloring the borders of the level sets makes the calculations rather slow, so maybe it's better to copy and paste the coordinates (under "Locations") to the standard Mandelbrot Anyhow zoom in and out according to what your fractal spirit tells you

Thanks a lot for that advice, Ingvar! I'll do so, try to zoom as I wanted to and hope, that I'm not too dump to realize it
Greetings
Mone

I don't think so. Just run the parameter file (copy the text under "Artis's comments" and paste it into UF when you have an an image open) and shift-draw up and down in order to zoom in and out
