Description Another skeletal drawing of the American hog-nosed skunk (Conepatus leuconotus), a cryptic mephitid that is poorly understood owing to its extremely nocturnal and secretive habits. As with the other skunk skeletons in this series, this was done for a workshop my wife is giving (tomorrow as it happens) to the International Wildlife Rehabilitators Conference in Cincinnati, Ohio. It's been a really interesting endeavor from my end. Despite superficially looking alike on the outside, skunk genera are VERY different on the inside.
