Description
Ok I finally got this together. Here is a tutorial to create these glowing orbs I've been messing around with lately. I know there are some similar tutorials out there, but not exactly like this one. So here it is. Just keep in mind that this is my very first tutorial... so if you see mistakes or something I missed please let me know. I will be more than happy to fix it.This tutorial is for the average user. I did not explain where all of the buttons etc are. If you do my tutorial I would love some feed back on how it went & what you came up with so drop me a note!
Thanks!

This is the second time I've attempted your tutorial. My results look kind of like yours (at least I see some resemblance), but it's so grainy - even after reducing the gamma. I don't know how to get a nice, smooth effect. Any advice? [link]

It might be because you used a regular triangle instead of the Final Transform (button at the top that says FX) That triangle always defaults to n/a in weight. A third regular triangle could make dramatic differences to my final image. Try that and see if it helps. It looks like you are on the right track besides that though!

Good I hope that helps then! It should make a big difference. I actually redid my tutorial and used a third triangle instead of the FX (final transform) as a test on my theory and like yours it got very grainy. Let me know how it goes!

I got it! It's funny though, it didn't look very crisp and clear when I was working on it and I despaired ever getting the results I've seen from others, but the final render looks great.

Awesome tutorial, thanks for sharing! I didn't even know I could mess around with the variables and transform tabs, and it's always nice to learn something new.
This is what came out of my try ^_^ [link]

Very nice!! I'm glad you enjoyed my tutorial! My purpose for writing a tutorial instead of a script was to help people learn their way around Apo a bit. I am still learning new things about the program every time I open it and mess around. It's a very neat program! I'm glad you were so successful!

Actually I have had many people do it with success, some had missed one thing and it did not come out for them, then they got it. There are a lot of little calculations that if just one is even transposed you'll come up with something completely different. I even did that myself when I tested my tutorial. I thought boy I typed my tutorial wrong and wracked my brain to figure out what... then I found that I missed one calculation and when I discovered that bam! It was exact! lol So believe me I understand your thoughts for I had the same about my own tutorial to start lol

After I made the tutorial I attempted it also and missed something lol. I wanted to make sure the tutorial was correct before I uploaded. It drove me crazy till i figured out what I did wrong in my own tutorial Then I found one little error which messed up the whole thing lol.
