Wow, I'm sorry to hear that the original was stolen. That happened at school once, somebody's portrait of Tupac was stolen!

I like how you used colors to add highlights and shadows, that blue looks really good on the stripes.

well seen from my experience a second version of the exact same picture is never as good as the first ( unless its done like years later after improvement) Nevertheless this painting is awesome! I especially like that you used complimentary colors blue and orange here instead the plain bnw. It really makes the picture seem much more alive!

LOL! No, I mean ... the painting went to a gallery ... it was stolen from the gallery ... another client wanted to buy it (but obviously it was gone), so I had to repaint it from scratch for them. So I painted the same picture twice. This was the second.
