Well, the more I draw these too, the more the pair-up grows on me.

To use Asumanga archtypes as examples:

Crush's Sakaki qualities. Very intelligent. Likes cute. Hates gross. Superior in athletics.
Crush's Kaorin qualities. "Admirers" Xane, but not terribly overtly.
Crush's Kimura qualities. Won't back off from uncomfortably stalked target (Xane). Is planning a "Xane and Crush's" flower garden.

Xane's Tomo qualities. Underachiever academically. Takes pride in her skating-by skills. Self centered 90% of the time. Delusions of coolness.
Xane's Kagura qualities. Very good in athletics. (Is actually a better fighter than Crush, but not as strong... she can't break crushes grip to save her life, for example.) Tomboyish(loves violent kung fu movies, monster trucks.)
Xane's Kaorin qualities. Inability to handle being "stalked".
Xane's Osaka qualities. Doses off during briefings. Forgetful of research assignments. Slight narcolepsy at her office desk.

I've always wanted to do a buddy cop kinda azumangaish story with two statuesque heroins!
