Here is a tutorial that was asked for by: KijaniKinyong aThis tutorial was made using Gimp 2.8 the setting in Photoshop may be a little bit different.

But you say you were using 8, 5 etc brush sizes - what size was the canvas?

4288 width 3004 height. if you do have a smaller canvas take the 15 brush size off and start with the size 8 brush.

Do you use a specific brush? I don't know, but it looks different from what I use (normal brush on fade tapering).

I use a normal paintbrush with hardness at 075 with fade tapering on.
