Description
I was working on Faelmon's map a while back and didn't touch it for a time. I figured it would be nice to share it even if it isn't complete yet so I can, at least, give a glance at what the discovered parts of Faelmon's look like. I will have a lot to add to this map and even more lore to add to it to make it more than complete. I will update it as often as possible and as I work on the lore and races of Faelmon. Meanwhile, I can say a few things in short. As I said, more will come later.

Why did I create Faelmon?
Short answer here. As I was working on Demon's Sight (some versions before the actual one), it was in a generic fantasy world with no substance or personnality. I wanted to have a world that could stand with its own rules, races, etc. The more I worked on Demon's Sight with that in mind, the more Faelmon became a thing. I felt like some events needed explanations or a reason to be in that fantasy universe. I needed to have my own set of rules to follow to make things work and consistent. Thus, Faelmon became a thing. The more I think about it, the more solid it becomes. Also, the more liberties I took about my fantasy world. You might notice that Faelmon is a huge melting pot of European medieval time and Japanese edo are and you wouldn't be wrong. But you might also notice that what I made of it isn't always true to what we know. But Faelmon is its own universe. I got a lot of inspiration from what we know and had fun addind twists to them. So it made Faelmon into something I liked; a fantasy universe that isn't genereic, but that we can recognize.

Update from 8th of August 2022, I try to compile all the informations about Faelmon on Worldanvil as I can make more structured than I could on Deviantart. So do expect to see more and more links going to Worldanvil for extra informations when I talked about Faelmon. I might change the main picture for representing Faelmon's world on Deviantart, but I have nothing yet for that, althought I am thinking about it.

Quick update from the 6th of May 2022, I changed the name of the Snawood race to Qotzals to give them more personnality and a more fantasy vibe. Infos on their race is yet to come. I also quickly added town names and capital names as well as some locations. Details for each of these places should come more or less soon. Sorry if this update is a bit rushed. I will come back to it later. I just really wanted to share an updated version of Faelmon's map.

As of today, 31st of December 2021, all future references and informations on the different aspects of Faelmon will be created on WorldAnvil and linked here under the map. I hope I will be able to update the map soon as I want to make a DnD 5e campain in Faelmon. I want the ressources I will type to be useful outside of DnD as well if people desire to know more and enjoy the little universe I created. I realise I am making Faelmon way more deeper than needed, but this is a fun thing to work on.
