Description
Thanks for the awesome question OJOS- AKA and sending me the reference so I don't have to search.I'll post the others when I have a little more time. Time to draw for myself a bit.
Proportions go out the window when things are foreshortened. We still have a means for measuring out the
facial details. Since if we find the top of the head and bottom of the chin, we can find the tear duct line.
If you're going for accuracy. Once you draw the overall shape. Make smaller jumps. Ex: Find the chin,
what's the easiest landmark from there. Maybe the breasts. What's a mark close to that? Maybe the
belly button.
Point is once you understand how to use Eric, you can do anything you want with it. Here I drew Eric instead
of Erica. She has the same measurements with slight differences like hips and arm placement.
Hope this helps
Also I recently found out that the beautiful reference came from this user senshistock.deviantart.com/

If you're going to use SenshiStock 's picture, you should probably give her credit.

no problem man and thank YOU! i really look forward to more of these. I know foreshortening when put in actually practice is difficult so thats a big reason I asked the question. Now just curious, how do you begin drawing? ex. do you start with the head and work your way down? Does your steps change with a figure foreshortened?

i love these notes...always so informative...i really struggle with these extreme foreshortening views...especially legs torso and head. Please keep putting out these notes...they're inspiring to me to keep trying!!!

Are you having problems with legs? I can lump the demos into one if you send me reference for
the view you're struggling with. I'm sharing the notes on here with my students as well
so killing two birds with one stone
