Description
Overall, great job! Your value design is pretty good. The main issues came up with overall structure.Don't worry about small shapes especially the features. There seems to be some patterning going on.
When dealing with patterns it's even more crucial that you group your values. It's also important to figure
out how important those details are. As the creator of the image, you have a choice of designing them out
or finding ways to indicate them. Or maybe the patterns are the focus; this is entirely up to you.
A lot of simple structural/shape issues can be worked out in the beginning stages. Painting the features
/details is actually relatively easy, the base design and structure is the hard part. Spend more time at this stage.
If your working from life, if this part is resolved, you can make up smaller shapes even if the model is not there.
Especially more important when working from a live model because no matter how good the model is; they're gonna
move. You want to work out all the big ideas so that you can actually have fun later on rendering.
Hope this helps. Keep Rockin!
Lemme know if you have further questions.

Thank you so much for pointing them out Bryan. I learn so much from this.
I have one question at design stage what should you be paying attention to or what question should you be asking yourself?
I really need to invest my time on design, I usually just rush to painting without working out the problems first and end up wasting a lot of time 😢. Very valuable insight from a master thank you so much!

Think one step at a time. This will keep you from muddying up
an idea. Before you start, ask yourself what it is you wan to emphasize.
You are the camera, you decide what's in focus and what gets washed out.
If you're gonna focus on form, then really only push form, if you're focus is shape;
really push shapes. Make sure an idea is dominant. Be as simple and as clear
as possible before adding the fancy marks to hide your tracks.
Design ideas are deceptively simple sounding. I can give you one to work with.
Just like there's gesture in the figure, there's gesture in the shadow patterns(
Usually follows form) Gesture meaning relationships and connections. ( How does
the head relate/connect to the ribcage) Once you identify the gesture,
you try and repeat( pattern) it as much as possible.
Hope this helps

Tooth cylinder aka ball of the mouth. When you look at the skull,
you'll see that the teeth create a cylindrical form that the mouth sits
on. It's the same idea as drawing an eye. You want to get the eyeball
so you can wrap the lids around it. Same idea with the mouth.
Hope this helps

Man, every time I see a post from you, I save it.
I know I've said it a million times already, but you've been tremendously helpful, and I consider myself luck to call you my teacher, even if it was only for a little bit. I'm still gonna consider you my mentor.
